“A Workaholics Paradise”

A vacation like I’ve never experienced before… a serenity like no other. I’m an artist from New York City visiting The Lodge at Parrot Cay. This place is my paradise.

The Lodge is very unique in a beautiful way. We traveled from the busy-ness of New York City for a week on the beach. Little did we know that this villa was going to offer us unlimited mental and physical wellness. As an artist, I have a ‘workaholic’ attitude and tend to have trouble removing myself from that nonstop mindset. Sometimes, even on vacation.

But at The Lodge, I felt like I was in a whole new world and relaxation felt so natural. From chatting with the house manager, Rico, to reading in the comfy hammock, to listening to the sound of the water and the nature fully surrounding us for miles - there was truly no distraction from taking a well-deserved BREAK.

While allowing myself to really let go of work and the stress of everything going on back at home, I truly felt rejuvenated and refreshed in my creative headspace. Do you ever feel in your every day life that you’re doing things and coming up with ideas just for the sake of getting through the week and not necessarily because you love or even feel good about the work you’re presenting? In this space, thoughts and ideas came naturally and didn’t feel forced for the purpose of making work. My artistic side was ready to work again and was fulfilled.

To all artists, creators, businessmen, or workaholics like myself, The Lodge at Parrot Cay is the escape you’ve been waiting for… Unwind in a setting that is fully yours and guarantees freedom of all possible outside distractions. Enjoy time with your friends, family and children without allowing the outside world to creep in and take this vacation away from you without even realizing it!

“Excursions with The Lodge”

Are you someone who has trouble with standing still and actually taking a ‘break’ on vacation? Me too. Keep reading…

The Lodge is filled with so many incredible activities and things to do over your stay - long or short. From kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing, boardgames to bonfires, there are plenty activities for the whole crew. With that being said, when I’m traveling (especially with family), sometimes I just need to get out of the house. Well, you’re in luck! Chris is a great friend to everyone here at The Lodge and offers multiple different excursions through his private boat service that go directly from The Lodge’s private dock to multiple incredible Turks & Caicos adventures!

  1. Private tour of North and Middle Caicos: A 6 hour tour starting at Sandy Point (Rico will bring you over in his boat). Visit the Flamingo Pond, Cottage Pond, The Caves, Mudjin Harbor for lunch and beach walk. It takes 2.5 hours to tour the 2 ponds, the caves and to get to the restaurant on Middle Caicos. Lunch takes about an hour. The beach is not a snorkeling beach but it is fun to jump in the waves and walk on the beach.
  2. Full or Half day boat excursion with Chris Forbes: Chris Forbes has been a captain guiding tours for over 20 years. He is passionate about what he does and will work with you to find the best weather day for your stay. He is professional and safe and will show you a great time either fishing, snorkeling, beach walking, enjoying lunch and drinks at a local restaurant in Provo, or all of the above.
  3. Private massage therapist: A skilled female therapist will come from 9am - 3pm and will give max up to 5 hours of massage.

One of the many amazing things about this property is the range of activity, attention to detail and how the owners of this villa thought of every detail for their guests satisfaction. There is truly nothing else I could think of or have asked for out of this family vacation. We look forward to when we return next year…

“Rico’s Personal Cooking”

A menu catered to your wants, cuisine and dietary preferences… created, served and cooked by Rico, The Lodge’s AMAZING house manager.

I was initially skeptical of being housed away from restaurants/grocery stores/etc on my week long vacation with the family… My family loves to snack and I wasn’t too sure what this meal plan would entail, but I was so satisfied with the level of culinary expertise and add ons that we had over our stay. Often we would run out of alcohol or snacks, but Rico would always take a trip on his boat to make sure we were completely restocked whenever we needed to be and it was always done in a quick and prioritized manner.

Some stand out meals we had on the trip were:

    • Sweet & sour Chicken with Fried Rice.
    • Vegetable Spring Rolls, Steak, and Bacon wrapped Asparagus.
    • Shrimp Kebab with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes.
    • Taco bar with everything imaginable included!
    • Grilled Chicken Wrap, French Fries and a fresh Green Salad.

Every morning we woke up to a delicious range of foods for breakfast (pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast, fruit and juices). Lunch was prepared while we were out and about around The Lodge and was provided at the hour we discussed in the morning.
